Hello and thanks for having a look around my portfolio.
My name is Liam Owen and I am a freelance creative director at Bloc Media in London. I have over 12 years experience working in the digital design industry, creating award winning work for many global clients.
These clients include: SCEE, Electronic Arts, Capcom, Ubisoft, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, MTV, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Disney, EMI, 3 Mobile, BMW, Diesel & British Heart Foundation.
I create games, animations and websites that not only entertain but engage audiences and build communities. Combining my passion, enthusiasm and attention to detail, I'm able to create projects which are not only fun to work on but also satisfy the clients and business needs.
Many of these projects have won or been nominated for awards such as: Baftas, Webby’s, D&AD's Cannes Lions, BIMA's, IMA's and FWA's and my work has also been featured in Creative Review, Computer Arts and Digit magazines.
Originally from the fields of Northumberland, I travelled further up north to study Ceramics at the Glasgow School of Art (in 1994). After graduating I stayed for twelve years, working for some top digital agencies before moving down to London and joining the pioneers at Bloc in 2005.
When I'm not working for Bloc, I concentrate on my own projects and continue to create pieces on canvas, paper and with animation, a number of these have been shown in exhibitions across the UK. You can view more work (both commercial and otherwise) here:
